“Last Saturday, dozens of volunteers and I weeded the invasive species garlic mustard out of Somme Woods in Northbrook, IL. We spent a few hours talking, laughing, and enjoying the perfect, 80 degree weather, all while making a small but important difference in the world around us. Though I never knew Ty, from what I’ve heard it’s the kind of experience he loved, and I have no doubt he’d be proud to see how many lives he’s touched and how great an impact he continues to make more than a year after his passing. ”
