A crew of volunteers partnered with the Denver Extreme Community Makeover Organization to landscape lawns of four houses.
“The Denver CommuniTyler event was a great success! Despite the rain and chilly temps, we made the most of it in Ty fashion! We participated in a an Extreme Community Makeover (ECM) Event doing random landscaping work for participating households in a three block neighborhood north of West Colfax Avenue. ECM works with under served neighborhoods throughout Denver to help draw out communities by tying them together through projects that give back. We were (the largest!) of 4 volunteer groups that Saturday, with 21 volunteers! It was a great turn out full of many people who didn’t necessarily know Ty directly, but learned about his spirit. We trimmed trees – got to break out the chainsaw! – mulched, moved flagstone and weeded gardens. All in all, we spread joy throughout the neighborhood by telling stories of Ty, and meeting new friends by working at 4 different houses and completing a handful of projects. Ty was there every step of the way, and I couldn’t be more proud of our team and the attitudes everyone brought out that day! ”
